Family time at the lake

We headed up to the lake Sunday and were excited to see DJ, Julie and their boys, also for them to meet Colson.  They live right across from Great-grandma Miles' lakehouse, so there was lots of fun had by all.

Will and Colson playing with something, while Grandpa watched closely.
My big girls loved helping out with baby Claire and I think Colson was excited for the break from the constant attention from sisters.
It was fun to be able to celebrate Connor's birthday with him on the 23rd.
Aunt Julie was excited to have girls to cuddle and play with and they were happy to accommodate.
Lots of time was spent relaxing, laughing, playing games and spending time as a family.
DJ and Mama T sharing a laugh
Great-Grandma Miles was able to join us for a couple of days.  It was great to see her doing so well and for our kids to make some memories with her.
All our little people love to sit on peoples laps, so they enjoyed their time because there was always a lap to sit on.
 Renee with her three littles
Colson loved hanging out with Grandpa, cuddling or walking around looking at anything Colson would point at.
Lexi getting in on the snuggles
Aunt Julie putting together a Christmas present for Grandma Miles and Great-Grandma Miles
All worn out from too much playing
Snack time with sisters and cousins
These two had some sweet times together.

Next up Christmas day

Christmas fun with family

We arrived in Florence on Thursday evening and Daniel and Renee, along with their children were also at Darin's parents house.  It was good to meet Claire and to see Jack and Will again.  It was the first time they had seen Colson, so much fun playing with cousins, aunts, uncles, and grandparents.

Uncle Darin is always good for a horsey ride.
Saturday we travelled to North Carolina for the Haas family reunion and it was good to catch up with family and for them to meet all our little people.  Caily and Lexi enjoyed getting to see Aunt Beverly again.
On the way back to South Carolina we stopped in at Grandma and Grandpa Haas' home to say hello and give some more hugs.
It was a particularly hard good bye for Daniel and Renee, since they were soon to head out to France for 4-5 years.
Sunday was spent at Grandma and Grandpa Miles' church and this was about as good of a picture that I could get of the kiddos in the Christmas outfits.
Darin, Daniel and their Dad, sang in church and Colson had fallen asleep in Darin's arms, so he just took him up with him, he slept through the whole thing.  Later that afternoon, we headed to the lake for more family time.  More pictures to come.

Pause

I am taking a quick moment from catching up from Christmas to post these cute pictures from the other day.  Tuesday we had a gorgeous day that we enjoyed fully, Colson was trying out his new sunglasses and attempting to brush Sky.  Bria was catching kitties and coloring with chalk.  Love these kind of days.
